In this cycle, Oliver Orthuber deals in various media with the theme of copying and repetition, influenced by the philosophical work Gilles Deleuze particularly emphasized the book "Difference and repetition" and the philosopher Henri Bergson. This goes from overpainting, copying methods, collages to cutting techniques and other compositions to create the new work of art. Oliver Orthuber's works often move in the field of tension between experimental visual and auditory perception. He uses a deconstructivist language of forms in the spirit of abstract experimental film using his self-developed method of "material shocking". By copying, sampling, remixing and the serial, partly the coincidence owing to his composition in an intertextual context. Until 2003 he worked as an architect and after that to devote himself to fine arts. Since then he exhibits his pictures, videos and installations in numerous international and national exhibitions. He lives and works in Berlin.
