From a series of works on wood veneer panels, created from sketches and preparatory work from several artist residencies in Coney Island, New York. The works explore the nature of vernacular signage and historical amusement graphics, as well as the colours and emotions these artefacts convey. The Wonder Wheel is a one of a kind ride with swinging cars dating back to 1920, a landmark of the historical Coney Island amusement district.
