Esta obra es parte de una serie llamada "La siesta". La siesta, la hora sixta, esa pausa a mitad del día, seis horas justo después de despertar. Tesoro invaluable que aun preservan los pueblos del interior, pero que tan mala fama tiene esta gran cuidad. Esa costumbre sagrada que no supimos guardar, ni respetar, porque teníamos que funcionar, sin parar. A penas unos kilómetros separan lo que está bien de lo que está mal, y hacen a una costumbre convertirse en mala. ¿En qué cambiamos tanto, si solo nos divide una hora de distancia? Quizás sean las construcciones en vertical, cuanto más altas mejor, que funcionan como murallas. Adentro de este fuerte de cemento se produce, se trabaja, o se intenta hacerlo, pero no se descansa. La conectividad es 24/7 pero las personas que viven dentro raramente se reconocen entre sí. A su cielo no quieren entrar las estrellas y el silencio también prefiere quedarse afuera. ¿De qué nos protegeremos dentro de estas murallas, de quien nos defendemos? . . . . Me dormí una siesta con mi gata Coquita. Puedo asegurar de que nadie me vino a atacar mientras lo hacía.

Argentina
Florencia Del Fabbro is an artist borned in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1988. Her paintings, most of them acrylic, deal with subjects such as everyday life and the existential problems that afflic human beings. Her first contacts with art were from childhood because her grandmother is an artist. In 2006 she started her studies at the UNA (National University of Art) in the Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts with painting orientation. Currently she has pending her graduation thesis.
