Experimental artist, I use a personal mixture. My attention stops in 2003 on the coffee that becomes the principal medium.I develop a special technique that combines phosphorescent acrylic paint and coffee powder. Very sensitive to the protection and the future of the Earth, Art is a message which invites reflection.

WHEN COFFEE BECOMES ART Influenced by the work of followers’ of the « Arte Povera » and Pop Art movements, my paintings are mainly the result of using recycled objects (ashes, sand) and even fair trade organic products (coffee, spices), found within my immediate environment. This is how coffee became my favorite medium. It is both unique yet banal, its alchemy and unpredictability captivates me. It inspires me to create freely : coffee powder and bag … Working coffee in all its form, the rise of coffee capsules gave birth to a series on environmental problems. This project denounces in parallel a growing market with little regard for the management of its waste. This mass consumption contributes to the pollution of the planet and inevitably to climate warming. The resulting loss of ice has become a real threat to the natural balance and to humanity. The disappearance of the polar bear is a visible sign of this change and is the reason I have chosen the bear as an emblem. TEDDY BEAR AND PHOSPHORESCENCE : A TASTY COMPOSITION The viewer can see only a “Teddy bear ”, a popular symbol which has marked the subconscious of the child, either the work will engage a dialogue with the public, the reflection on the consequences of seemingly harmless gestures, or not. The viewer can pose his own question, and accept this duality or not : pleasure / rejection. These paintings, worked as night lights, are realized with phosphorescent paint. At night, the eye perceives a phenomenon of appearance / disappearance. This production suggests the idea of the visible presence of the invisible, which immortalises this species menaced by extinction. In a time when every human being is responsible for the planet, to assure the future of the Man and to protect his heritage, the picture becomes an ecological symbol which expresses the fragility of an environment as precious as it is surprising.
