The focus of this painting is on the relationship between different levels of values created, within the society of a totalitarian regime. The children in the background are aggressively constrained by the regimented abstract geometrical shapes, reflecting fragments of reality stored in their subconscious mind. Growing up in a totalitarian regime, I was subjected to psychological pressure from the governing party, which was actually its method of governance. Such regimes produce a social stratification, which contradicts the ideological indoctrination imposed by the authorities to make people believe that they live in a united and righteous society. Where I want to get is that the people who are part of any level of that hierarchy control the people from the lower level through fear. This fear is a fear beyond pestilence; it makes the individual powerless, lonely and suspicious of everyone else. In this type of society, people are afraid to collaborate with each other and are afraid to express themselves freely. These experiences clearly affect individuals psychological for the rest of their lives.
