Once bright and rich, the peony flower now fades gently, but this does not detract from its irresistible charm. Soft shades of pink reflect the last breath of beauty that this flower has left. While its edges fade to light pink, the center of the peony turns into a pastel yellow, almost white shade in which the heart of the flower glows a warm yellow. Despite the fact that the peony is at the stage of withering, its beauty is still attractive and capable of causing delight. This portrait of a peony captures a unique moment in its beautiful evolution, when it is still in bloom but beginning to move into its next phase. Every line and every shadow in this painting emphasizes the uniqueness and transience of the beauty of nature.

Hello! My name is Anastasia Alekhina, and I'm an artist. I was born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine. I received my art education at the prestigious Salvador Dali Institute of Artistic Modeling and Design, and ever since then, I have been devoted to pursuing my passion for art. My work primarily revolves around using modern oil painting techniques. My style of painting is inspired by classical principles of art. I prefer to create my pieces in various styles: sometimes I use the "alla prima" technique, which allows me to work quickly and expressively, while other times I opt for step-by-step layering of underdrawings to create more intricate and multi-layered works. My favorite genre is landscape painting. I find inspiration in the beauty of nature and strive to convey that beauty and harmony through my paintings. For me, painting is not just a profession; it's my way of immersing myself in another world. Every time I pick up a brush, I dive into this world completely, where I can freely express myself and share my inner world with others.
